Rev. Erin Tamayo is a bilingual educator, teacher trainer, nonprofit professional, faith-rooted community organizer, interfaith community leader, and ordained pastor of the Presbyterian Church (USA). She holds degrees in Bilingual Education and Spanish with an MA in Multicultural Education/ ESL, a Masters of Divinity Degree from San Francisco Theological Seminary, and a Graduate Certificate in Social Change from Arizona State University.
Erin has served as an educator for over 15 years, including serving as a global teacher trainer for the Global Launch Program at ASU, where she currently works. She has also served as a nonprofit professional for over 7 years, including working as a Faith-Rooted Organizer for CLUE-LA in Los Angeles, working as the Phoenix Interfaith and Community Organizer for the OUR Walmart Campaign, and serving as the foundational Executive Director at Arizona Faith Network. Rev. Tamayo is currently a board member for United Religions Initiative, North America, and recently served as a faith-rooted campaign consultant for Corazon-AZ.
She holds certificates in Non-Profit Management, Marketing and Strategic Communications, Fundraising and Sustainable Financial Management and Operations, and Program Impact from ASU’s Lodestar Non-Profit Management Institute, where she currently co-teaches a class on Marketing and Community Presence.
My vision in creating ALAS Initiative (Aligned Learning and Action for Social Change) is to combine my areas of expertise to help empower people of all ages and backgrounds to become catalysts for social change, driving a more just and equitable future.
